I am trying to make my pc fast. I have an amd athlon/duron processer running at 2.00 ghz and 256mb of ram at the moment.

I am not sure how to make my pc really fast. I don't know what to get, a amd athlon or an intel pentium processer. what is the difference? which is faster?

Could anyone help me out plz, it would be very much apprciated.
