I Saw a cool tool the other day that my friend was using called Logmein, it allows me to remote into my computer from over the Internet. Basiclly I create an account, setup access for one pc, then I can logon to this pc from virtually anywhere that has Internet access, it is free for one pc...after that you would have to pay for the Logmein Pro service it is around $9.95 per month to start.

This is a cool tool. I've been using it for several months. You can use the free version on multiple computers, but must install it on each one. I've used it for our Foodbank computers, so I can log in and help set up printers, find misplaced files, add formulae to spreadsheets, etc. The Pro version adds file transfer capability. The free and Pro versions don't require anyone to be at the target computers, just that they're on and connected.

There's also a LogMeIn Rescue product which doesn't need installed on the target computers, but requires someone at those computers to authorize a session. This version is especially useful for technicians to repair PCs remotely (assuming they can boot and access the Internet).

With all versions, you're dealing with a secure connection.
