ACCESS Releases ALP Garnet VM Compatibility Kit
- You'll be able to run your current Palm apps on any new devices running Access' new OS - ALP
- Of course there has to be a product running ALP first

Palm, Inc. Will Not Run Access OS (aka Palm OS 6/7)
- No plans to license to others
- Devices later this year using it, though a few before that using Garnet
- No plans to license ALP
- Garnet support to continue within new OS

Hawkins Hints at New Product Announcement in May
- "We're going to be announcing something... but I won’t tell you what it is... we will be launching this year, not in the distant future. I'll give you a much bigger hint: I'm going to be speaking at Walt Mossberg’s D Conference in May. It’s a high-end industry conference. Anyway, I'm going to be giving a talk there, and that would be something for the Palm fans to keep a close watch on."

3. Opera browser coming to Palm-brand devices
- agreement between Palm and Opera to include browser on new devices
- Will it replace Blazer on PalmOS?

4. Treo Online Backup Application, beta release
- backs up automatically, over cell network, to Palm central servers
- only for the Treo 700p, 680 and 650
- PIM apps data only
- Free for now, since it's beta. No prices announced
- Needs approximately 2MB of available RAM and unlimited data plan

5. Treo security hole
- You can access Find on a PalmOS Treo while it is locked
- Only available when making an Emergency Call or accepting an incoming call
- Some locking security apps are also vulnerable to this loophole
- Warden security app is not
- A non-Palm fix is available called SecurityLockFindFix on TreoCentral.com
- After initially declining to issue a fix, Palm has now said that one will be issued
