Here are links to various tools for automating what you do on the computer:

Logitech G11 Gaming Keyboard: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/p...es/285&cl=us,en , http://astore.amazon.com/darrowfamily/detail/B000GP844S - this lets me set up macros tied to programmable keys, such as the text and URLs I use in moderating the chatroom.

Keyboard Skin: http://www.compucover.com , http://www.compucover.com/new_index.cfm?do...g&StartRow=1801 - This protects my keyboard from accidental spills.

C Compiler: FREE Microsoft Visual Studio Express - http://www.microsoft.com/express/ - We didn't cover this on the show, but I used the C compiler and wrote a program to translate text, including long URLs, to the XML maxcros used by the G11 keyboard. This beats having to manually retype those URLs into Logitech's Keyboard Profiler to create the macros.

Kana Reminder: http://www.kanasolution.com/index.php?fid=11 (I use the beta version; the big difference is more control over the intervals for repeating events). - I use this to start up WinAmp to listen to the show, to open a browser with the chattroom ready for me to login, and to open some word processing documents.

Applian Replay AV: http://applian.com/replay-av/record-internet-radio.html - used to record the show from the stream and convert it to MP3.

WinAmp: http://www.winamp.com/ - used to listen to the stream

VLC: http://www.videolan.org/ - also used to listen to the stream

Siber Systems Roboform: http://www.roboform.com/ - very good Web form filler

Siber Systems Goodsync: http://www.goodsync.com/ - automate your backup.

Acronis True Image: http://www.acronis.com/ - create backup images of your system

NTI Shadow: http://ntius.com/shadow.asp - another automated backup tool
