- MLA Magazine just published their Top 10 List ten list of devices or initiatives that failed and shouldn't have.
- The MLAgazine is devoted to the history of the personal computer, the people that made it and the people who sold it.

PalmSource Dev Conference
- According to Ben Combee's weblog, "Combee On Palm OS", the next PalmSource Developers Conference will be coming up in May
- Should be held at the Fairmount Hotel in downtown San Jose, same location as last year.
- Ben Combee is a senior engineer at PalmSource in the Developer Technical Services group

AvantGo Just Released A New Client
- AvantGo is a free service that delivers rich, personalized mobile web sites to PDAs and smartphones.
- AvantGo also surpassed their One Billionth Sync!

New GPS SD Card Hits the Market
- The SSI-SDIO-1000 weighs less than an ounce but has an accuracy of 3 meters 50 percent of the time, and 6 meters 95 percent of the time.
- PocketPC and Palm OS compatible
- No mapping software included

New Bluetooth-Enabled GPS Receiver Coming from Garmin
- The Garmin GPS 10 Deluxe package will include MapSource City Select North America mapping software, which offers more than 5 million points of interest and detailed street-level mapping of the entire U.S. and metropolitan Canada.
- In addition, the Garmin GPS 10 Deluxe will come with Windows mapping software, allow it to be used with Bluetooth-enabled laptops.

New WiFi sled for the Treo 600 & 650
- Internal batteries, so no drain on device
- Enfora says their Wi-Fi sled will be good for 3 hours of typical use with 5 days of standby time.
- The Treo 600 version will be available February 1, while the Treo 650 version will hit the market 30 days later.
- The price for each Wi-Fi sled will be $149.

Tapwave and Virgin Digital Sign Deal to Make Music Downloads Effortless on Tapwave's Zodiac
- Compatibility with Virgin's 100,000 + CD library
- 99 cents per song or $7.99 per month
- Update to Zodiac's Music application - "as good as the iPod or better." (quoted from Byron Connell)

CrazySoft Is Now Renting Games
- The cost is $2.95 per rental that allow you 50 games.
- After you rent the game 5 times your rentals are transferred to a full version
- Rental fees are paid via PayPal

No New Zodiac Until 2006
- Tapwave executive recently told PC Magazine that a new Zodiac model won't be released for at least another year, and the wait might possibly even be two years.
- Although the new device is still well in the future, Byron Connell, one of Tapwave's co-founders, was willing to talk a bit about it. He said it will definitely include built-in Wi-Fi, a faster processor, and a more powerful graphics chip. In addition, it will probably have a built-in miniature hard drive.
- It is continuing to improve the current Zodiac models' software.
- More games, such as Madden NFL 2005 and Tomb Raider
- More multimedia
